Richard (and team) has continued to keep things top notch for decades! We enjoyed our special date with the Brie, olives, salad, trout and short ribs. TJ was quite attentive and shared his personal faves to help us with our decisions. Decorations for the holidays and being seated in a corner window table set the mood for a special evening. We had the most wonderful dining experience in a long time. We sat in the wine bar and retail area and it was a very nice atmosphere amongst all the wine selections. Our server Capers was very professional and knowledgeable about all the varieties of wine and the menu items. We started by selecting our bottle of wine at retail cost plus $10 corkage. I love this concept! For dinner I started with Gazpacho which was the best I've had anywhere! For the Entree I had the Pork chop with collard greens and sweet potato mash. Everything was prepared and presented perfectly. My girlfriend ordered the beet salad which is large enough for 2-3 and Blackened Salmon. Her choices were excellent and she said she would order again when we return. We loved this restaurant and everything about it. We highly recommend trying!

Absolutely lovely experience! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. The wines were well chosen to complement the food. Tables were nestled around the wine store which was quite cozy.

Appetizer was wonderful. Definitely I'd go back just for it. I recommend the Brie appetizer highly. My entree was good. I think I'm just not in love with short ribs. I've had them a few times and I never thought they were special. This was probably the best I've had. My dining friend did not particularly like his shrimp and grits. He thought it was too tomato based. Again it was a preference. The bread was good, the wine was good and the atmosphere was excellent. There was soft jazz in the background. This is the kind of place you can relax and enjoy conversation. Nobody is going to hurry you out the door. Be prepared for a leisurely meal and a fairly high price. It's worth it.

My husband and I went to Northampton for Friday night dinner, our first visit. The wine selection was excellent and reasonably priced. We selected a bottle of gigondas that we both really enjoyed. We shared a salad, an app and the short rib entree, all quite good. The service was attentive, perhaps a touch unpolished/knowledgeable. The ambiance/layout was a little odd, having to squeeze behind other diners to access some of the wines we were considering. Overall, we'll definitely be back for the wine selection, would do dinner again but not in a rush. Curious to see if they do any fun wine tasting events.

loved it and the food was great.The young man Whois started in September was super nice. I would have liked to do a wine tasting or a tasting with dinner but that is weekends only.But we enjoyed the place and everyone was super nice.Refreshing in these times
